I was 12 when I happened upon my grandfather's half-broken 35mm Pentax film camera. I duct taped the pieces back together and an obsession for viewing the world as a series of stills to be set in frames and kept forever, was born.
I photograph people because I have to. People fascinate me. I consider it an honor and privilege when invited into someone's world, to preserve their life story. I love deciphering an individual's unique quirks or translating the magnetism between two lovebirds into a tangible keepsake.
I'm a hopeless romantic, head over heels in love, with my darling Ava "Lilikoi", and crazy in love with my long boarding, singer/songwriter, college sweet heart, husband. Three of my favorite things are ocean spray on a sunny day, sandy toes, and iced soy chai lattes. Cold Play makes me happy, especially Chris Martin's falsetto. I was born and raised in Texas and have wanderlust running through my veins. I lived in Australia and Africa in college. I'm a big fan of the colors aqua and coral and a Canon lover through and through.
