Coming Home – For Eliel

Sara had her baby June 28.  Eliel was on the phone listening in and giving encouragement, 7775 miles away in Afghanistan.  God bless the troops and their brave wives and children.  At the end of this post is a link to a dance routine that left me in tears.  In it Sasha and Alexander portray the moment when a man sees his wife for the first time after he comes home from war.  Prayers for you Eliel.

Eliel on FB: “Well friends, I’m off to Afghanistan tomorrow in support of Operation Enduring Freedom!!  Please keep me and the 600 Marines that I am charged with keeping healthy in your prayers and of course my wife Sara who is staying home alone and is due with our first born in June as well. Have a wonderful rest of the year friends, enjoy everyday and all of the freedoms that this country provides us! God Bless America.”

Sara on FB: “You are the most amazing husband a gal could ever wish for…Everyday I admire your values in God, family and your country! What you will be doing in Afghanistan is simply awe-inspiring. I love you so much sweetheart! Have safe travels…can’t wait to Skype!”

He left yesterday.  When he comes home little Alexander will be 5 months old.  I’m in awe of Sara and brave military wives everywhere.
