Russell & Tiffany

Tiffany is one of my dearest and best friends.  How stoked was I when she asked me to photograph her wedding in Te Awamtu, NEW ZEALAND!  A place that has always been on my travel bucket list.  They were set to get married on a green hill under a vast blue sky of clouds, until a torrential down pour changed their plans.  Nonetheless, the ceremony was intimate and their vows were heartbreakingly honest and beautiful.  I don’t doubt that all sitting in the congregation were teary eyed right along with the two lovebirds.  As Tif’s sister put it best, “I guess some people’s fairy tales do come true after all.”  I’m so incredibly excited for the two of you and wish you both all the happiness humanly possible.  P.S. Tif I’m glad you married a Kiwi because now I’ll always have a place to stay:)

Rome II: Vatican City

We spent the first three days of our Europe trip in Rome.  We may have been asleep the first day and half.  I think we went to visit the Vatican City on day 3.  Thus, explaining why the majority of my Rome photos focus on the world’s smallest state of 0.2 miles.  The Sistine Chapel was awe inspiring and is unfortunately not pictured here.  When we climbed St. Peter’s Basilica, Gregorian chants were being sung and sunlight was spilling through the windows in prisms.  It was simply splendid.  Hope you enjoy.
